Cristiano Ronaldo Confident of Reaching 1,000 Career Goals as Passion Remains Strong

Global football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has once again expressed his ambition to reach the monumental milestone of 1,000 career goals, reaffirming that his passion for the sport remains as strong as ever. He made these remarks after winning the Middle East Player of the Year at the Globe Soccer Awards.
Representing Saudi club Al-Nassr, the Portuguese forward scored two goals on Saturday, taking his combined club and international career tally to 956. The 40-year-old star hinted that he plans to continue playing for at least one or two more years.
Speaking to the media following the ceremony, Ronaldo admitted that maintaining top-level performance at his age is becoming physically demanding. However, he emphasized that his love for football and competitive spirit continue to fuel him.
He noted that despite pressure, a busy schedule and advancing age, his enthusiasm for the game has not diminished. “Playing continuously is demanding, but I am still passionate. I enjoy football wherever I play — the Middle East or Europe,” he said.
A special moment to end the year on. I carry on with the same passion, commitment and hunger as always to reach my goals.

Ronaldo added that while personal records hold significance, his true focus is on winning trophies with his team. Increasing his goal tally remains a priority, but team success is equally important.
“You all know my target,” he stated. “If I stay injury-free, I will definitely reach that number everyone talks about.” His words were met with excitement from fans around the world.
Since joining Al-Nassr, Ronaldo has become the face of the Saudi Pro League, contributing heavily through goals, experience and global influence. His pursuit of 1,000 goals now appears more achievable than ever given his current form and determination.
